What a day!

I worked on the scrapbook for my friend today. I started at 10:00, worked until 2:15, took a break until 6:00 worked until 9:00, then made one more final page at 10:15. A total of 18 pages were scrapbooked today. I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. My friend Elisabeth stopped by and took a sneak peek, she got all teary eyed. She said her mom is going to cry when she sees it. The page above is for the Topsy Turvey Challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts. They are having a huge on-line party this weekend for National Scrapbooking Day, which is tomorrow, well no, actually today, it is after midnight. The challenge was to use at least 2 techniques out of the 5 that were listed. I was able to use 4. The only one I did not use was the flower burst. I don't know how to make it!

The Pens won against Montreal tonight. WOOO WHOOO!!! Game 1 of the second series. Will Lord Stanley be paying Pittsburgh another visit? Only time will tell.

My guys are going turkey hunting in the morning. Getting up at 4:00 am, and back home by 9:00 am because my lil' one has bowling at 9:45. Only 2 more Saturdays of bowling left.

It has been a long day. I'm calling it a night. Thanks for stopping by!

Where did April Go?

Wow! I can't believe we are nearing the end of April. This month has flown right on by. I've been busy. I've joined Simply Scrapping Crafts. I just love it. If you get a chance, go over and check it out. I was referred to it by a fellow blogger who happens to be part of their design team. I have my own page over there with a gallery of my work. Such talented ladies! They rock.

I've taken on a new challenge, which I'm crazy for doing, but I have a hard time saying no. My friend found her mom's old pictures, just laying in a box in a spare room. Well she asked me if I would scrapbook them for her, and she would give it to her mom for Mother's Day. Mother's Day is now less than 2 weeks away. I hope I can do it. I'm not being as elaborate as I would like to be, mainly because lack of time. I can't journal on the pages because these are people that I have never seen before in my life. I am leaving a blank journal section on each page. I've managed to get 12 pages done in 2 days. Tomorrow I am not able to work on it at all. I am making 3 pounds of meatballs for my son's class, Wednesday is their Italian Day and I also have Weight Watchers, which I don't even want to go there! I'm gaining. I know I'm not being faithful, I know what I have to do, but why am I not doing it?

The card that I have made fits in with BBTB2 Challenge this week, and Simply Scrapping Crafts Paper Scraps challenge. Everything on my card was made from using the scraps in my beloved scrap drawer. You know the one it is jammed full of paper that you just can not throw away because you know at some point you can use it. LOL - I'm a paper addict. I can't help it. I love the smell of paper. Donna Mundinger is running the challenge this week. Donna's work is incredible. She continues to amaze me each week. The challenge was to use a "BEE" cut from a certain cartridge, but I didn't have that certain cartridge, I used the "BEE" from Walk in My Garden. Hope you enjoy the card. Please check out BBTB2. The ladies over there are so talented. I look forward to Monday's and the new postings. I am just in awe of them.
Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Night!!

It's my Friday event though it's only Thursday

Hello Dear Blog,

I am so sorry that I have neglected you, (again.) Life has been a little crazy and a little busy. Easter totally snuck up on me by surprise. I was able to pull it off and we got one more year out of Danny believing. Sadly though, I think by the time Christmas comes around, the doubt of Santa is going to become a reality. My little boy is growing up. I don't want him to grow up. I miss my baby.
Tonight is the last den meeting of cub scouts for the season, followed by the Blue & Gold Banquet next Friday. My heart wasn't in Scouts this year. I was frustrated, no parent involvement. Ask for help, don't get any. I have a Den of 3 boys, with one of those boys being my son. Some den meetings only had Danny, others I had 2 boys, very seldom did I ever have all 3. Danny is advancing in scouts, he will be a Webelo 1, I have no desire to be a den leader after this year. I'm a girly girl at heart, I'm not into all of the technical building crap. I have inquired about another pack. The boys in this pack belong to a different school district, Danny will not know any of them, but it is for the best. At first Danny cried telling me that he wants me to be his den leader, he wants to stay in his pack and not go to a new one. Finally he understands that he will probably be the only one coming back next year for Webelos, you can not have a den with just one kid, and the new pack is run by men, and that makes all the difference in the world. If for some reason Pack 360 gets new recruits for Webelos in September, we'll stay, but I will not take on the role of Den leader. Plain and simple. I'm done. When Danny joined scouts 3 years, he joined, somehow I joined too, I was handed the Tiger book and was briefed on how to conduct den meetings. I had no choice in the matter. Never was I a girl scout, and I don't want to be a cub scout either.
Well dear blog, my lunch hour is over. I'm sorry I neglected you. I also apologize to any of my followers if you are still following. When I post something for BBTB2, I don't blog until after the contest is over. I want the designers to be able to find my entry without searching through all of the mess.
Have a great day everyone!
