April 1st - April Fools

Danny didn't have school today. He slept in until 9:30. That is probably a record for him. My child is not a sleeper. It was nice for once not waking up to an alarm clock going off at 5:40 a.m. It was kind of a bleeck day. I baked this morning, cookies and brownies. Wish it was for a more happier occasion, but its not. My friend's mom passed away and tomorrow is the funeral and service. We will be going to Cindy's afterwards. Tomorrow morning I will make up the cheese and cracker tray and buffalo chicken dip. Sad, very sad.... Tomorrow I want to celebrate Nancy's life. A beautiful, vibrant woman who had a zest for life. I set up an ETSY account, but with every thing that has been going on, I haven't been able to post my pics. I wanted to get that done before my layouts were published. My wedding layouts were published!! So exciting!! The April 2011 issue of Scrapbooking.com Magazine. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBilIDnAgCo Every one starts out somewhere. I love looking through magazines, but I find myself turning to my computer instead. Oh the Internet! What did we ever do without it? I'm off, Danny is rummaging through the kitchen cabinets for a snack. I'm going in to assist him. As always, have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

Wow! 2 posts - 1 day!

I also made a card for the Outlawz, Monday is greeting card challenge day. It used to be Birthday Monday's, but has been changed over the last month. Completely fine by me, doesn't matter what kind of card I make, just as long as I'm playing with my paper.

BBTB2 Disney Cart Challenge

BBTB2 is having a Disney Challenge this week. I do not have the cart that Maria suggested, but I do have this one. My niece Lauren just loves Arial. This card is for her birthday. I also made a couple of 12 x 12's to frame so she can hang them on her wall at college. Lauren was one of the funny girls in the high school musical, Beauty & the Beast.

Now that my fun is done, I have to work on dinner. 2 hungry guys to feed, clean up then plopping my butt down for the evening. It's American Pickers night!

Just a couple of more days until the Scrapbooking.com magazine is out! I'm so excited for the April issue! The layouts of my daughter's wedding are being published! I still can't believe it!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great night!

Much Needed Mental Therapy

Just a few things I worked on today. My mental therapy was greatly needed. A very close friend of mine lost her mom on Friday. Nancy lost her battle with cancer. She fought a courageous fight. Nancy was like my mom. I spent enough of my late teens/early 20's at her house. I lovingly called her mom. Nancy, I will miss you dearly. I know you are not suffering anymore. Heaven gained another angel.

These creations are for the challenges over at the Outlawz. I was bound and determined to figure out my posting issues, but right now I just can't. Lack of concentration. I apologize for my blog being disarray.

At the end of the week, my scrapbook layouts will be published by ScrapbookingMagazine.com. I'm excited. I've also set up and ETSY store, but have yet to stock my "shelves."

As always, have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Hello Again

Here are just a few of my new creations. Everything seen here are for the challenges over at the Outlawz. I will figure out my picture posting issue on this blog, someday.

I have exciting news! I am being published in the April Issue of Scrapbooking.Com's magazine! I still can not believe it! I am facebook friends with them. In January they posted a post, "show us what you've been working on lately." So...I did. I had just finished a couple of layouts of from my daughter's wedding. Later in the week, I received a message from Jami Petersen, Editor in Chief. She wrote me saying that she would like to publish my layouts in an upcoming issue and asked if I would be interested. YES!! I'm counting down the days until the issue comes out. lol I really need to keep my blog up to date, this could turn out to be an opportunity of a lifetime. Someone out there may be interested in publishing some of my paper addiction creations. If time allows over the weekend, I'm going to check into an ETSY store. You just never know.
As always, thanks for stopping by. Please don't be shy, let me know you were here. Let me know if you have seen something that you like, something that you don't like, or how I could do something better.
Have a great night!

The Outlawz

I miss blogging, I really do. It saddens me that I do not have enough time in the day to do what I would like. Today is Friday, my day off. I have no plans. Nothing! I just got my shower, threw on comfy clothes and since hubby is sleeping, (I have to be quiet) I have no other choice than to go down to my messy, scrappy corner in the basement. I'm going to work on Challenges today, well until it is time to get my babe from the school bus.

By chance I found the Outlawz and oh what a happy night that was! I used to do the Challenges over at SSC, it was about a year ago a member of their DT referred me. These wonderful ladies became my crafty family. Of course time (lack of) gets in the way, and I didn't get to participate as much as I would like. I did check in from time to time, but it wasn't the same. Every time there was a change and I wasn't seeing most of my crafty family. Well last week I was thinking of Pryn, alot, she is a true sweetheart. I got on her blog and discovered she was on the Outlawz DT. I checked it out and guess what? I found my most of my wonderful crafty family again. I feel like I'm home again. This coming week is they are having their first on-line party. I can't wait. Housework and various chores need to be completed by tomorrow night. I want to scrap and craft all day Sunday! Check out their party, join, play along and have fun!

BBTB2 Heart Layout Challenge

Well Hello....it has been forever since I've blogged. Why is there never enough time to do everything that you so love? Life gets in the way.

Anyway, I haven't participated in challenges lately and have this simple layout. One heart, and it was cut from the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by.
